Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town boss Joe Royle said of the blues number 11: "No one who has worked with Jamma has ever doubted the lad's talent.
"It's that consistency that has been missing but once he got his fitness sorted out at the start of the season he has been terrific for us. Make no mistake, the boy has got bags of ability. There are players with less talent that Jermaine who have gone on to play for England.
"Jamma scored a cracking goal against Watford on Saturday and we want to see more of that from him. He strikes a ball well and really should be hitting 10 goals a season for us."
