According to reports the blues boss wants to add at least one more face to the squad before Saturday's trip to Coventry, and it looks to be a striker despite the club being the third highest scorers in league football this season in England.
Speaking to the Ipswich Evening Star, Royle said: "I've never really stopped looking to bring people in. It has been a busy couple of weeks and I'm hoping something can be done in the next few days.
"But it's out of my hands. The managers whose players I am after must decide whether or not they are prepared to let them move on."
