The former Sheffield Wednesday and Orient man is currentley on loan to Town from Charlton Athletic, a loan which runs out on Friday, and cannot be extended as it will meet the maximum stay of a player on loan at a club over the age of 24 which is 93 days.
Should Royle want to keep Bart-Williams, he will have to make an offer for his services full time, something Royle admits is currentley being looked at: "I have never denied that I would love to sign Chris and I am hopeful we can sort something out - initially, at least, to the end of the season." said the former Everton Boss.
"Chris seems very positive about it. He is very happy here and is enjoying the fact that he is playing regular first-team football. I have spoken to Charlton manager Alan Curbishley and he has no problem with it, but as always it's down to the financial side and that's something for the two chairmen to discuss."
