The 33 year old French Defender who joined the club from Grimsby on a free transfer was booked on Saturday and was very lucky to stay on the pitch after not being booked for a second yellow card offence later in the first half and was subbed at half time by Town manager Joe Royle who was scared that Santos would get himself sent off.
Speaking of the events, Santos said : "I know I'm a marked man when it comes to referees. I'm six-foot plus and they can't miss me.
"But I'm not a dirty player. I make tackles and I go in strong. That is my game, but I'm a fair player.
"I was very disappointed when the gaffer took me off at Crewe, but he rightly thought the referee would send me off anyway.
