The former Grimsby man told the East Anglian Daily Times: "It is difficult to know what to say, we have had some terrible luck. We have done well again, just as we did on Tuesday. But bad luck and mistakes have hurt us.
"I know it will be painful for the fans as well and it will be hard to forget. We have sat down together and thought about what has happened and now we must put this game and Stoke out of our heads and look ahead. We have big games coming up and a chance for 33 points."
"It is unbelievable. We could have scored five goals in the first half. We have been a bit unlucky on at least three of them, but not to be ahead at half-time was really disappointing.
Santos: Miserable Week Complete
"We wanted to carry on the way we were playing into the second half, and even when we went two down we started playing well again and had chances to score again. Really we should have won the game but we have lost again so it has been a bad week for us."
