Around 40 supporters in the lower tier of the North Stand staged a sit in, ironic compaired with when you take into account they have been pestered to sit down during games.
Sack the board chants went up during the game, and contary to what has been reported elsewhere, there was chanting from all four sides of the ground, and very few boos of disapproval were heard at the North Stand started chant.
It has been suggested that during the sit in, Stewards told fans that Mr Sheepshanks was no longer in the building, and they might as well go home, however around 10 minutes later, Sheepshanks appeared (More Spin?) and said he would talk to two of the fans, if the rest would leave.
Sheepshanks admits he was hurt by the experience, but understood it : "We had a frank and open discussion and they were perfectly reasonable. It is always good to hear people's views and I feel when they left the office we all had a better understanding of each other's point of view."
"They told me it was not personal and it was not my head they were after, they just wanted to vent their frustration.
"I totally understand their frustration but it is hard not to take it personally. They went back to their friends to explain what I had told them and I hope everyone has a better understanding."
Sheepshanks also went on to admit he is sure that the current management could turn things round, some faith which all supporters don't share : I'm convinced Joe, Willie and the players, will turn things around. It is important for the supporters not to look at the next set of results but look further into the season. We will get it right and I'm refusing to panic, in fact no-one should."
Speaking of the financial situation, that seems like it is forcing the club tp part with Marcus Bent, Sheepy continued : "A successful share issue will be the final piece in the jigsaw to allow us to move on after coming through a difficult period."
Maybe you should go then Sheepy, After all, who's going to buy shares with you in charge?
