"Fortunately he is a quick healer and the specialist is happy with the way the cut is healing and has told us that Shefki can step up his rehab.
"He has been doing a lot of swimming but now he will be able to step up his recovery this week with some running and we'll take it from there.
"You can never be certain and we will take it one day at a time but I'm very confident that if he keeps progressing as he has done he will be available for the Forest game in two weeks if it takes place."
