The Finnish international joined Palace last week for a figure of £2.5M, and is said to be relishing the chance to help Palace return to the Premiership.
"The squad here now is as strong a squad as there is in the Championship." admitted the former Ipswich Town player of the year.
"At Ipswich, we had quite a small squad but there was a lot of togetherness within it - but I think this Palace one is a better squad.
"We have made a good start - we are in the top three after five games - and I'm confident that we will be playing in the Premiership next season."
