Wednesday night saw the club win their first game since Januay 2nd, a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers under newly appointe boss, Darren Patterson. However, fans broke into the boardroom in a protest against unpopular Kassam in what was described as a "peaceful portest".
The unstability of his former club may disuade Magilton from taking up the offer but on Wedesday Joe Royle did confirm that Oxford had made an offer to take the former Northern Ireland international: “Oxford have officially contacted us asking to sign Jim Magilton.
“I have told Oxford and Jim that it is entirely up to them what they decide. We owe Jim that and I will accept whatever he decides to do,” he said, speaking to the EADT.
Magilton is in his final season at Portman Road, after being told his contract will not be extended past the summer and the club are willing to let him find a club before the end of the current season. As yet Magilton has not commented on the situation and was happyly playing in the clubs golf day on Wednesday.
