Town's joint top goalscorer with six goalscorer with six goals this season was sent off for a tackle on Freddie Sears, which Town appealed against only to have the ban extended for a further game after the Football Association decided the club did not have valid grounds for their appeal.
Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Sheffield United and Sunderland striker said: "It's a massive blow for me because it means I'm out for virtually the whole of January.
"Everyone I have spoken to - whether they be Ipswich fans or not - says it wasn't a red card and I was obviously hoping it would be rescinded.
"I've just got back in the side and started scoring goals so it's very disappointing to take and not what I needed at the moment.
"I've looked at the incident a number of times and it backed up what I felt straightaway, it was never a red card. It was a mistimed tackle, nothing more and was a booking at worst."
