Sunderland have recalled midfielder Jack Colback from his loan spell at Ipswich in time for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Notts County.Injury to David Meyler and Boudewijn Zenden's suspension following his sending-off against West Ham left the Wearsiders short of midfield cover.
Colback, 21, had been a regular at Portman Road under former Black Cats boss Roy Keane, making 13 appearances.
His sole Sunderland appearance this term came against Colchester in August.
Since signing professional terms at the Stadium of Light in the summer of 2008, the academy graduate has made just two first-team appearances.
