24 year old Wright who comes from Warrington has played over 200 games for Crewe scoring 3 goals, and is said to be interesting a number of clubs with Crewe resigned to losing him in the summer.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi meanwhile is also said to be involved in the chase for Liverpool's young striker Neil Mellor. The youngster had a failed loan spell at West Ham United earlier in the season, and along with Town, Crewe are reckoned to be in the running for his signing.
