In reaction to the criticism from a growing number of Ipswich fans, Magilton hit back: "It is all rubbish. It's too much. People are losing their jobs because every game these days is put under the microscope.
"If a manager loses a football match he is put under scrutiny. It is a sign of the times. We have 19,000 managers at every game at Portman Road and they are entitled to their say."
Magilton also explained why he subbed both Pablo Counago and Jon Stead following Ben Thatcher's sending off at Cardiff last week: "I wanted to stay positive by keeping two up front.
"I brought on Danny Haynes for his pace in attack and moved Jon Walters up as his heading ability is better than Jon and Pablo."
