According to reports, it is believe the crowd for the final Coca-Cola Championship game of the season, being held at Portman Road on Sunday will be second to only the East Anglian Derby against Norwich City held last month.

Confiming the reports of brisk business in the ticket office, the department manager Joh Ford told the Ipswich Evening Star: "It has gone crazy since last Thursday. We have had queues outside the office and queues waiting on the phones.

""If the players work as hard as my staff have over the last week they will beat Coventry quite comfortably. It is quite extraordinary for a game between two teams who only have league places to play for.

Ford also said that the appointment of former Sunderland boss Roy Keane has had a positive effect on season ticket sales: "We have sold well over 1,000 in the last week, a mix of renewals and new clients.

""And I expect us to start next term with a similar number of season tickets as we started this season - around 15,000. And, if the team does well, this will increase through the year."

Arch rivals Norwich are odds on to be relegated on Sunday, but Ford said that from a finance point of view, their relegation would not be good news: "Their visit is worth two- and-a-half times the revenue for an average game - the difference between 13,000 paying on the day to 5,000 paying on the day."

ITFM will have full pre and post match coverage on the Coventry City match including stats, previews, reports, quotes and photos throughout the last weekend of the regular league season.
