Town would recieve 50% of Sereni cash!
Marcus Bent, who left Town in August 2004 for the Toffee's, is set to complete a move to Charlton today and Town will recieve 10% of the profit fee due to a sell-on clause in his initial £450,000 transfer away from Suffolk.
The transfer will go ahead later today for an initial fee of £2million, giving Town £160,000 and a further £500,000 will be paid to Everton depending on various appearance bonuses, which could net Ipswich another £50,000.
Matteo Sereni, who left Town for Lazio in 2003 is reported to be on the verge of leaving the Roman capital and Town have a 50% sell-on cluse agreed with the Italian giants. Ipswich will also play Lazio as part of the original transfer arrangement in the summer.
The eccentric goalkeeper played 23 games for Lazio in the 04/05 season but has only started two games this term. If as expected, he moves for a fee in the region of £1million, it will give Town a massive cash boost, especially in the wake of having to return business man Michael Anderson's 15% stake.

Marcus Bent shouldn't take long to acquaint himselve with his new teamates, as he joins the enclave of ex-Town players at Charl-Town today. Matt Holland, Darren Bent, Darren Ambrose, Herman Hreidarrsson already turn out for the Addicks.
