32 Year old Nouma has had spells with Paris St Germain, Strasbourg, Lile, Lens, Caen and Olympique Marseilles. However the strikers most impressive spell was arguably at Besiktas where he scored 18 goals in 24 games during the 2000/1 season.

However as of late the players career has been a downward spiral. He was sacked from Berskitas last April after his goal celebration involved the player putting his hands down his shorts, and recieved a seven month ban before joining Quatan side Al Khor.

Speaking of Nouma, Town boss Joe Royle told the Official Club Website: "We have taken Pascal on trial for the week and we are hoping to get clearance for him to play against Osasuna. He's a big lad who impressed when he played against Arsenal a few years ago so we will see how he gets on."

Despite the player having Champions League experience, he earlier had a trial period with Crystal Palace, however the newly promoted side decided against taking the tall striker onboard.
