Town Turn Down Offer for Player

The player is likely to be either Jon Stead, previously linked with a move to Doncaster and Crystal Palace, or Owen Garvan who was this morning linked with a move to Premiership new boys Burnley.

Confirming the bid rejection to the Official Club Website, Town boss Roy Keane said: "We had a phone call last night and an offer for one of our players and we have turned it down.

"If an offer comes in for any of my players, we have to look at it and if it's acceptable we have to consider it but the offer that came in is nowhere near what we believe the player is worth."
