Wiekens is currentley the longest serving player at the City of Manchester Stadium, and this week has admitted when his contract ends in the Summer he feels manager Kevin Keegan will not renew it.
"I know I will face some big decisions in the future months. I don't expect City to renew my contract and the situation I am in now I have to look for a new club," Wiekens admitted today.
Current Town boss Joe Royle is a known admirer of the Dutchman and earlier in the season it was rumoured that the blues chief was interested in bringing Wiekens to Portman Road.
In addition to Wiekens Danny Tiatto will also be avaliable on a free transfer from the blue side of Manchester at the end of the season.
