Burnley netted in the final minute to extend there unbeaten run to 12 games.

Ipswich looked to have done enough for a second successive home win when John McGreal and Darren Ambrose scored either side of Arthur Gnohere's header in the first half.

McGreal headed home his first goal of the season from a Mark Venus free kick in the second minute to set the tone for a thrilling first half.

Burnley hit straight back just for minutes later when Gnohere rose to loop a header into the net from Glenn Little's corner.

Ipswich regained the lead after 15 minutes when Ambrose scored a superb seventh goal of the season, taking Chris Makin's pass and turning to volley home in one movement.

Jamie Clapham volleyed over from 20 yards, before Ambrose crossed for Alun Armstrong whose header would have beaten Marlon Beresford but for a deflection off Graham Branch.

Lee Briscoe shot wide for Burnley, before Pablo Counago did well to bring down a Clapham cross but volleyed well over.

Both sides had one more excellent chance to score before the interval, Clapham being denied by Beresford when clean through before Ian Moore fired narrowly across goal from 20 yards.

There was little in the way of excitement for much of the second half, although Steve Davis' shot wide when he may have done better after a loose ball dropped in the box.

Beresford saved a header by Matt Holland after 80 minutes, then a minute later Counago nearly sealed the points for Town, stabbing just wide from substitute Darren Bent's low cross.

Burnley's proud record of not having lost since August was maintained, when in the final minute Papadopoulos rose to head home a Dean West cross from six yards out.
