Fans Player of The Year - A Statistical History

Last updated : 02 May 2010 By ITFM
The Supporters Player of the Year is decided every season by voting from Town's fans to recognise the best overall performance of a player over the course of the Football season

Towards the end of every season, fans of the club are given slips at Portman Road in which they will indicate their nomination, the results of which are added up and the player with the most votes is then presented with a Rosebowl in final home league game of the season as a token of appreciation from the Town fanbase for their efforts in the season just ending.

The first winner of the award was Town legend Kevin Beattie, who is one of just four players who have won the award on more than one occasion. George Burley, who won the 1976-1977 award, also went on to manage the club.
