Young midfielder Ian Westlake admitted that he was pleased with his sides reaction to last weeks defeat at Derby: "It was great to score early. That took the pressure off a bit. Nice to score myself. Great ball by Benty and I just slotted it away.

"We had to react to last week's defeat at Derby and prove a point today. We worked hard to put things right in training this week but our confidence has still been high and now I'm sure it has taken another lift."

Meanwhile Fabian Wilnis who was playing at left back in the absence of Matt Richards, did not rate the performance of the referee very highly: "The first-half was very scrappy and the referee had a part to play in that. He kept stopping the game frequently and there was also a lot of injuries.

"It was better the second-half and we kept them to only one shot at goal. Very pleased with the performance. Not worried where I play as long as I'm on a winning side."
