After the win Ipswich manager Joe Royle said: "They scored a wonder goal out of the blue, but we came back strongly and I think we deserved to win. Darren Currie had his best game for a long time, a lot of the players did.
"We've had a good start to the season and we're delighted with the result. The sending off - Richard Naylor swears he never touched him."
Lions boss Colin Lee added: "The team has made mistakes and we've been punished by them. We're gifting games away - any team that concedes goals like we did today are going to have trouble winning matches.
"We went a little bit long ball but the disappointing thing is the poor delivery into the box. We're not creating enough opportunities to score. For the first time today I thought confidence might have been a bit of the problem."
