Town boss Joe Royle was happy with a point and revealed in the after match press conference that he was disappointed with his sides peformance: "I am delighted with a point because in the second half we didn't play.
"Kelvin Davis was excellent in goal, and Tony Dinning had a good debut. But after that I am looking for people to step up.
"Having said that, not many teams will come to Forest and win. I suppose their season hinges on whether they can keep Andy Reid; he is an excellent player.
"If I said what I think about the referee then I will get a three-year touchline ban instead of three games. We were denied a clear penalty for a foul on Darren Bent that was just the way it was going to go all night.
