Ipswich Town manager Joe Royle was quick to praise Forest, and admitted they were very much in a false position in the table: "Forest will feel aggrieved that they did not score in the first half when they were better than us.
"But we sorted our shape out at half-time and it was more level in the second half. I was just a little bit disappointed that Darren Bent did not win it for us in the second half but we'll settle for the point.
"Forest are in a false position. They are clearly much better than their position suggests and it would not surprise me if they are at the business end of the table when it matters."
Meanwhile Forest boss Paul Hart felt his side deserved the win, although he admits he was impressed with Town: "I thought we just about deserved the win but Ipswich deserve tremendous credit. We made them defend and they did so exceptionally well.
"Ipswich are a very good side and I like to watch them play but we asked a lot of questions of them tonight and their goalkeeper had to make some fine saves. We didn't get the win we wanted but there was a lot for us to take from the game and, believe me, we have got a lot to look forward to."
