Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town boss Joe Royle praised his side for their comeback: "We are the comeback kings, that's the way we seem to do things here. They are a great set of lads and there is a terrific spirit in the squad and that shows.

"We score a lot of goals but we miss a lot as well and if we had taken our chances, we would have been out of sight at half-time instead of being behind. But we stepped up the pace after the break and finished worthy winners in the end I think

"It was fitting that we scored three goals in front of our fans because the backing we have received at away games has been amazing this season."

Royle also had special words for debutant Darren Currie who marked his first game with a goal: "He made a great impact but it didn't surprise me.

"He put in a great ball for the equaliser and it was a good strike for his goal. But he is comfortable on the ball, hits great deliveries and fits easily into our style."

Meanwhile, QPR boss Ian Holloway was disappointed with the scoreline: "I am very disappointed and so are the lads - there's nobody that had a bad game.

"We scored two fantastic goals but lost because of two deflected ones. But dust me off and put me back on my feet and I'll be okay.

"I need players at the back and upfront but I am sick of being on the phone. I ask people for players but I get custard pies in the face. I don't like the taste of custard."
