New Signing Darren Currie, who came on as a substitute for Kevin Horlock marked his debut with a goal, as well as having a hand in Town's second, and described his debut as the best day of his career.
"I have waited a long time to play at this level and that was definitely the best day of my career." he told the Official Club Website.
"It has been a hectic few days but I couldn't wait to get out there and play and the game couldn't have gone any better for me.
"It was nice to get on the scoresheet. I hit the ball well enough and it just took a slight deflection to take it away from the goalkeeper.
"But the most important thing was the three points and I think we deserved them in the end. We stepped it up in the second-half and I'm just glad to have played my part."
