"When two blatant penalties aren't given, you tend to fear it might not be your day, but fortunately justice was done.
"I don't think even the most fervent Norwich supporter would deny we deserved to win.
"We passed it around very well, created lots of chances and should have been out of sight by the time we finally got our winner. I thought everyone did well and, although young Owen Garvan would be my man of the match, I thought the senior players did an excellent job as well.
"This win has taken us into the top half of the table, which is very pleasing and we need to push on between now and the end of the season."
Norwich manager Nigel Worthington was left dissappointed by his sides performance and conceeded that Ipswich deserved their victory: ""I suppose there was an element of good fortune about both their goals - and there was certainly a handball in the winner, but I'm not going to make a big issue about that.
"There's no doubt Ipswich deserved all three points on the day. Had it stayed at 1-1 I would have been absolutely delighted with a point because we just didn't play as well as we could. It was very disappointing and we all had a little chat about it afterwards. Hopefully, I'll get a positive response," he said.
Officially Town's winner was given as an own goal by centre-half Gary Doherty but Danny Haynes doesn't agree, he said: "I'm claiming it. I definitely got a touch on the ball when it came back from Alan's header and it should be my goal."
Ipswich are now unbeaten in their last 6 league matches and will be looking to make it 7, with Burnley's visit to Portman Road on Saturday.
